Course overview
The Postgraduate Diploma in Diabetology established to equip doctors with an interest in diabetes with sound knowledge of the subject. This is achieved by providing & opportunity to examine up to date clinical information, and aspects of treatment and referral guidelines for diabetes and diabetic complications as seen in routine practice. Students will be given knowledge and skills and also the opportunity to develop materials and evaluate aspects of diabetes care.
The Diploma Aims to
The diploma course aims to give an extensive insight of updated concepts regarding etio-pateiology and management of diabetes.
The objective is to provide general practitioners / family physicians a generalist approach to diabetes and its complications, designed mainly for outpatient management but with some exposure to inpatient diabetic emergencies and medical problems associated with diabetes.

Course outline with timelines:
Diploma in Diabetology is a one year Postgraduate Course in the field of diabetes. The course consists of two semesters, as follows:

i.   Semester I
Five months [From January to May], exam preparation in June and exam in July.
ii. Semester II (Final)
Five months [From July to November], exam preparation in November and exam in December.
Each semester is again divided into two theory Courses & two Practical Sessions each carrying three credit hours.
